| Armstrong Falcons vs. Minneapolis Patrick Henry Patriots |
| Jan. 11, 2007 |
| Tonight's Game: |
This should be an interesting match-up featuring full court pressing, 3pt. shooting and aggressive styles.
|
| Tonight's Opponent: |
Henry is on a roll to start the season. They are averaging over 90 points per game and crushed Cretin on Tuesday taking a 55-25 lead at the half. They are led by U of M recruit, and point gaurd Al Nolen, but have many other excellent players including Tim Saxon, Jerry Sweezy and 3 year Starter Brandon Mitchell.
|
| Tonight's Coach: |
JD Deloney is in his first year as coach of the Patriots. He has been under the radar as a coach, but knows the Henry system well, as he spent several years as an assistant coach to Larry McKenzie.
|
| Season Updates: |
The varsity is 9-3, junior varsity is 4-6 with 3 losts under 3pts; the sophomore team is 8-3; the freshmen A is 11-1 and the Freshmen B team is 6-6.
|
| Season Outlook: |
We have endured a tough stretch of games and overcome some injuries to achieve some early success. We have quality wins over Stillwater, Woodbury and Shakopee, and some close losts to good teams. Hopefully this will prepare us for our challenging conference and section games.
